The country is divided into 30 regions: five on the semi-autonomous islands of Zanzibar and 25 on the mainland in the former Tanganyika.
In the heart of one of Africa’s last great wilderness, where you can get a wildlife experience that reflects the original spirit of the true African safari. A spirit of adventure & excitement: of solitude and companionship & of the splendor of the natural world.
To visit Tanzania is to witness the wild diversity of Africa. A land of unfathomed lakes forged by the Great Rift Valley. Where the dense woodland of the interior yields to the vast Savannah and mighty rivers run through some of Africa’s largest game reserves.
Tanzania’s enormous wildlife population is supported by a well regulated, licensed game hunting industry as well as by the attractions of the country’s national parks and game reserves.
Tanzania has long been recognized as the Ultimate African Safari destination. It provides arguably the greatest quality free range wild hunting left in Africa today. Many greats of yester year shared the same sentiments such as the great Fredrick Courtney Selous of which the great Selous Game Reserve was named after. It undoubtedly has the largest list of wild free range species to be hunted in Africa coupled with the best lion and leopard and some of the best buffalo hunting ever known. This is the greatest destination for modern day Big Game hunting.
